Book Review (3): Until I Die by Amy Plum

Title: Until I Die
Author: Amy Plum
Rating: 5/5
OverviewKate and Vincent have overcome the odds and at last they are together in Paris, the city of lights and love.

As their romance deepens there’s one question they can’t ignore: How are they supposed to be together if Vincent can’t resist sacrificing himself to save others? Although Vincent promises that he’ll do whatever it takes to lead a normal life with Kate, will that mean letting innocent people die? When a new and surprising enemy reveals itself, Kate realizes that even more may be at stake—and that Vincent’s immortality is in jeopardy.

In Die for Me, Amy Plum created a captivating paranormal mythology with immortal revenants and a lush Paris setting. Until I Die is poised to thrill readers with more heart-pounding suspense, spellbinding romance, and a cliff-hanger ending that will leave them desperate for the third and final novel in the series

Do you see that last paragraph of that overview? Well, I cannot begin to tell you how right that paragraph is.  I'm such a big baby lately and am on the verge of bawling right now.   I need the next book, right now, there is no way I can wait until May

I like this one a lot more than the first.  I know I read it a little over a year ago but I just think this book was a lot more action packed and enthralling.  Until I Die picked right back up with Kate and Vincent's roller coaster romance and I must say, they were cuter than ever.

I also became more attached to Jules and Ambrose in this book.  We see a lot more of them and I must say, I like Vincent, But Jules is definitely swoon worthy.  Wooo Hoooo!!!  We also in Until I Die see Kate's relationship with everyone in the house develop.  There are also some newbies in the house that I definitely could not figure out.  You'll see what I mean when you read this.

You also see Jules still flirting with Kate and can assume that his feelings are definitely deeper than he lets on.  There are a few scenes in the books between him and Kate that I was just thinking...... WOW.

Amy Plum's pick of France was such a great choice for the setting and she definitely takes advantage of the different places all throughout France, incorporating many of them into her books.  I love France!

I was so pained to see what Vincent was going through in this book and how Kate just had to sit back and watch.  Don't want to include any spoilers!!!  It's hard not seeing things through Vincent's eyes because I would love to know what is going through that pretty little head of his sometimes.

GAHHH! I cannot wait for book number 3!!!

Title: Deadly Little Voices

WOW (#3)

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

My WOW this week is..........

Title: Towering
Author: Alex Flinn
Expected date to be published: May 14 2013
OverviewAt first, I merely saw his face, his hands on the window ledge. Then, his whole body as he swung himself through the window. Only I could not see what he swung on.
Until, one day, I told my dream self to look down. And it was then that I saw. He had climbed on a rope. I knew without asking that the rope had been one of my own tying.

Rachel is trapped in a tower, held hostage by a woman she’s always called Mama. Her golden hair is growing rapidly, and to pass the time, she watches the snow fall and sings songs from her childhood, hoping someone, anyone, will hear her.

Wyatt needs time to reflect or, better yet, forget about what happened to his best friend, Tyler. That’s why he’s been shipped off to the Adirondacks in the dead of winter to live with the oldest lady in town. Either that, or no one he knows ever wants to see him again.

Dani disappeared seventeen years ago without a trace, but she left behind a journal that’s never been read, not even by her overbearing mother…until now.

A #1 New York Times bestselling author, Alex Flinn knows her fairy tales, and Towering is her most mind-bending interpretation yet. Dark and mysterious, this reimagining of Rapunzel will have readers on the edge of their seats wondering where Alex will take them next!

Title: Eternally Yours
Author: Cate Tiernan
OverviewAfter 450 years of living, Nastasya Crowe should have more of a handle on this whole immortal thing....

After a deadly confrontation at the end of Darkness Falls, the second Immortal Beloved novel, Nastasya Crowe is, as she would put it, so over the drama. She fights back against the dark immortals with her own brand of kick-butt magick...but can she fight against true love? In the satisfying finale to the Immortal Beloved trilogy, ex-party-girl immortal Nastasya ends a 450-year-old feud and learns what "eternally yours" really means.

Laced with historical flashbacks and laugh-out-loud dialogue, the Immortal Beloved trilogy is a fascinating and unique take on what it would mean to live forever.

Title: Hanging by a thread
Author: Sophie Littlefield
Overview: In a town where appearance means everything, how deep beneath the surface will Clare dig to uncover a murderer?

Summer is the best part of the year in Winston, California, and the Fourth of July is the highlight of the season. People consider themselves lucky to live in the quaint, serene beachside town, and native Clare Knight, now a city girl, feels doubly lucky to be moving back there a week before the July festivities kick off.

But the perfect town Clare remembers has changed, and everyone is praying that this summer will be different from the last two—that this year’s Fourth of July festival won’t see one of their own vanish without a trace, leaving no leads and no suspects. The media are in a frenzy predicting a third disappearance, but the town depends on tourist dollars, so the residents of Winston are trying desperately to pretend nothing’s wrong.

And they’re not the only ones hiding something.

Clare has been blessed—or perhaps cursed—with a gift: she can see people’s pasts when she touches their clothes. And since she’s a seamstress who redesigns vintage clothing, her visions are frequent—and usually unwanted. When she stumbles across a denim jacket that once belonged to Amanda Stavros, last year’s Fourth of July victim, Clare sees her perfect town begin to come apart at the seams.
